Doctor of Dental Surgery

Born and raised in the Grand Rapids area, Dr. Peter Miskovich graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1995.  He completed his pre-dental studies and received his B.A. Degree in Biology at St. John’s University in 1999.  In 2004, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota, where he also achieved the Irwin A. Epstein Award for Excellence in Endodontics.  Dr. Peter then joined his father in practice at the Miskovich Dental Clinic.

Dr. Peter completed training at The Dawson Academy, a postgraduate educational and clinical research facility that is dedicated to the advancement of dentistry. Most recently, Dr. Peter graduated from The Misch International Implant Institute, a training center for dentists from around the world seeking to fine-tune their skills and learn about the latest techniques in advanced surgical oral implantology.

Passionate about dentistry and committed to a lifetime of clinical learning and professional development, Dr. Peter is dedicated to providing patients with the highest level of care.

Dr. Peter and his wife, Molly (Arnhold), live in Grand Rapids and have three children, Wyatt, Ryder and Mylo.  He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and shooting with friends at the Grand Rapids Gun Club.

Doctor of Dental Surgery

Dr. Mike was born and raised in Northern Minnesota. He graduated from Greenway High School, in Coleraine Minnesota.  completed his pre-dental studies at St. John's University graduating magna cum laude honors, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree.  He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota in 1976. Since then Dr. Mike has practiced dentistry at Miskovich Dental Clinic.

Dr. Mike has completed over 900 hours of continuing education in the practice of dentistry. He also completed postgraduate training at the United States Dental Institute focusing on the Study of Orthodontics. Dr Mike also served as a clinical instructor for the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. In 2007, he was awarded the Midwest Guest of Honor recipient for the Northeast District Dental Society.

He lives in Grand Rapids and is married to Elizabeth who also grew up in Northern Minnesota. For 14 years, Elizabeth served as the Foundation Director for the Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. She made time between family and work to contribute to the success of our practice in many ways. They have raised five children and now enjoy their five grandchildren. Dr. Mike enjoys the outdoors fishing, hunting and doing yard work at home and at the cabin. He loves the most spending time with his family anytime anywhere.

Weston Schmidt grew up in a large family in northern Wisconsin.  In 2005, He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a double major in Wildlife and Biology.  He moved to Benson, Arizona, to teach Biology, Human Anatomy, and Physiology. In his spare time Weston coached pole-vaulting at a high school level.   After three years, Weston pursued a career as a Dental Therapist, a dental professional specifically licensed to treat decay and place fillings.  In December 2014, Weston graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Masters of Dental Therapy. Weston is a member of Minnesota Dental Therapy Association.  In his downtime he enjoys fishing, and hunting.

Scott was born in St. Paul and raised in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, in 2008. He received his Master of Dental Therapy degree from the University of Minnesota in 2015. Scott worked as a certified nursing assistant and mental health associate prior to pursuing dental therapy. Scott enjoys working out, spending time with his girlfriend, family and friends, bringing his dog, Stormy, to the dog park and being active outside.

Ali was born and raised in Grygla located in Northwestern Minnesota. She graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene from the University Minnesota Duluth in 1974. She worked in Thief River Falls for three years and has been employed by Miskovich Dental Clinic since 1977. Ali and her husband Jim live in Grand Rapids. They have raised four children and have three grandchildren. Her hobbies include making maple syrup, walking, baking and spending quality time with her family.

Rikki is a Grand Rapids native who received her licensed dental assistant degree from Hibbing Community College. She received her dental hygiene degree from Lake Superior College where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Prior to her arrival at Miskovich Dental Clinic, Rikki worked as a dental hygienist in Shakopee MN for 13 years. Rikki lives in Cohasset with her husband, Mike, their son, Sawyer, and daughter, Presley. She enjoys camping, photography, family trips, being outdoors and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Sam was born and raised in Northern Minnesota and graduated from Greenway High School. She graduated from Hibbing Community College in 2000, with a degree in Dental Assisting. Sam has worked for Miskovich Dental Clinic for more than 10 years. She and husband, Casey,have four sons, Dylan, Ezra, Beau and Drake. Sam enjoys four wheeling, camping and time with family and friends.

JayLee was born and raised in Rielly Lake, MN.  She graduated from Greenway High School in 2006. JayLee then went on to Hibbing Community College to continue her education, earning her License in Dental Assisting in 2007.  JayLee received her Associate of Arts degree from Lake Superior College in 2012.  She enjoys fishing, reading and traveling.

Nicky was born in South St. Paul and raised in Newport, Minnesota. She attended Century College in White Bear Lake, MN, where she graduated in 2011 as a licensed dental assistant and certified dental assistant. Nicky worked in oral surgery and endodontic offices in the Twin Cities prior to coming to Miskovich Dental Clinic. She also previously worked for an endodontic office in Gainsville, FL. Nicky enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and her dog, Ellie. You'll often find her fishing, hiking, cooking, traveling, or visiting family and friends

Originally from Southern Minnesota, Jess was raised in the Grand Rapids area. She graduated from West Lutheran High School in Plymouth Minnesota, and attended Minnesota State University in Mankato. She was the class president and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2007. Since graduating, she has furthered her coursework at the Schuster Center for Professional Development focusing on team development and patient care. Jess returned to Grand Rapids in 2010 to work at Miskovich Dental Clinic as a hygienist. She is now the Office Manager. Jess and her husband Joey currently live in Grand Rapids with their two sons Owen and Sullivan. She enjoys running and spending time with her family; camping, hunting, fishing and four wheeling.

She graduated from Grand Rapids High School before attending Hamline University in St. Paul Minnesota, where she graduated in 1999 with a double major in Economics and Management. Molly began working with Miskovich Dental Clinic in 2006. Dr. Peter is her husband and they have three sons, Wyatt, Ryder and Mylo. Molly divides her time between working at home and in the dental office. In her free time she enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with friends and family.

Paula was born and raised in Marble, Minnesota. She graduated from Greenway High School and attended the Dental Assisting Program at Hibbing Community College, graduating in 1978. Paula has been a Licensed Dental Assistant for more than 33 years at Miskovich Dental Clinic and is certified in Nitrous Oxide Monitoring and Administration. Paula has also completed specific training on our CAD/CAM Cerec System. Paul and her husband Rick live in Coleraine. They have two daughters, two son in-laws and one granddaughter. Paula enjoys spending time with her granddaughter Bella, running, camping and shopping.

Melissa earned her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Lake Superior College in 2005. Melissa enjoys the variety she gets from seeing patients, treating gum disease, placing dental restorations to ultimately deliver the best care possible for all patients. Melissa is certified in Restorative Expanded Functions where she attended a combination of lecture and hand-on classes at University of Minnesota’s Dental School. Melissa is personable and passionate about dental education. Originally from Coleraine, Melissa is happy to be back in her hometown area. In her free time, Melissa loves fishing, running and spending time with her family. Melissa and her husband, Mike, enjoy adventures with their two children.

Tina was born and raised in Foley, Minnesota and is a recent transplant to the Grand Rapids area. She received her dental assisting degree at St. Cloud Technical and Community College in St. Cloud, MN, and has been a dental assistant for more than 30 years. Tinal and her husband, Jeff, have three grown children. She enjoys reading, sewing and shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
